I have been filming for 3 years, and my current set up is the easiest and cheapest yet - A selfie stick, a garage rake holder, and duct tape.

The selfie stick has the screw adaptor to attach my gopro case directly to it. Also has range of movement at the end to get the best angle of the field. the selfie stick is 14" long, so easy to carry, and is a little telescoping device that can extend out to 3 feet, in case I want to hang it high on the fence.

I took one of those rake hangers (2 prongs with some rubber coating), turned it upside down so it kind of looks like snake fangs, and duct-taped it to the selfie stick. The 2 prongs make it easy to hang on the fence, no need to adjust anything, and the rubbery part keeps it from sliding around.

Attached is a pic of it, and then also a phone mounted to do Periscope.

Thanks all for the tips.

This weekend past I scaled down to 2.7K/30 and had zero issues w heat shutdown. Going to try 1080/60 this next tournament
