Pattar, what do you mean by "early bat speed"? Are you developing bat speed before you know where you will be swinging it to?

I don't know about you but I don't launch until I have read the pitch location/speed so no. You might make a bad read but unlike WW I don't believe having early
batspeed stops you from adjusting if necessary.

Read my post better. I’m talking about ADJUSTABLITY again...

Me too.

What is more important, reading the pitch as well as possible before you swing, e.g. reading it for as long as possible, or adjusting after you do? I say the first and I am of the contention that early bat speed doesn't imply an inability to adjust after launch.

Have you ever visited X factor circle? I have been down turn the barrel ave. It dead ends at 18u gold pl. with a big pothole at 1234 offspeed st. Just saying.

Been all over X factor, slings, QL's, core, etc etc. It doesn't move the barrel quickly enough with correct direction and elite adjustibility. Those aforementioned things are all very nice supportive items wrt hitting. I coach in college and a couple of my best hitters are heavily invested in TTB.

This kid is going to learn early batspeed regardless of WW says..as soon as he can walk and find a bat that isn't taller than him

Hitter TTB with hands/forearms and whips the barrel with their core. My DD exaggerates TTB during tee work and front toss to get the feeling of throwing /whipping the barrel. Come game time it is harnessed into a little waggle. I believe it helps with barrel awareness. I am a advocate for throwing bats.

Are you C.Salt? His team is sooo INCONSISTENT offensively. He’s D1 .

Funny side note. He boasted about 1 of his hitters being a leader in a key offensive categorie. Come to find out she was a slapper. LOL.

I prefer getting a ‘running start’ instead of trusting ONLY my eyes.

Thank you.

To clarify ... your 'early batspeed' occurs after you have predicted pitch location/speed and have launched your swing ... is that correct?

Only thing that tells you where the ball is your eyes... are you "running" in place or blindly "running" somewhere before you know where the ball is
or are you guessing like you said is what happens with early batspeed?

Nobody isn't saying you shouldn't prime your body to be ready to react once the pitch is recognized...
