What is your FAVORITE FASTPITCH BOOK?

I have always appreciated "Throw Like A Girl" by Jennie Finch. But for my daughters, "Little League Softball Champs" by Joe Jackson at Little League Softball Champs: Joe Jackson: Amazon.com: Kindle Store is definitely a great one for them to read as well.

last year during the College post season, one of the teams (maybe it was Alabama) mentioned a book they had the entire team read... anyone remember that at all ? i wrote down the name of the book, but i have since lost it.

Might have even been the year prior.

Not exactly a fastpitch book, but "Heads Up Baseball" is great and extremely applicable to softball. Brian Cain also recommends this book. Good for younger kids too.

Is it a fastpitch book?

It deals more with mental toughness and dealing with the psychological aspect
of situations in competition.

Once they understand how much of the game is played from above the shoulders, the sky is the limit.

I encourage my girls to read books about fastpitch softball in order for them to grasp how others approach the game. I know it is working when they they want to talk about what they have just read about fastpitch softball in a book. Books imprint in their mind paths to approach such a fun game to play.

When your kid is reading about the sport they are playing, you know in your heart that game is really important to them.
