USSSA, Chief Executive made $729,600 in 2011. Not bad for a non-profit!!

YMCA and Boys & Girls Club are non-profit. I'd be sick to my stomach if i knew what the heads of those non-profits make.

According to the YMCA's Form 990 for 2011, the president & CEO received $441K from the organization and $43K from related organizations.

So what? I don't begrudge anyone his or her salary. The market pays what the market will bear.

That's not true in the case of many non-profits, however.

I have had friends that work for the ymca both part and full time and they do not make much money at all. Ymca is so much more than a discount gym and they really do a great job I dont have any problem with the ceo making about 500k.

Armed Services YMCA collected almost 22 million in revenue and the CEO made just under 224K. Imagine if Exxon's CEO made 7.5% of their revenue, that would be over a 36 billon dollar salary. I imagine that would ruffle a few feathers!
