DD hit first over-the-fence home run

Low point of same day...

DD fractures finger on pitching hand while protecting herself in the on-deck circle from a line drive foul ball

(Note: could've been a lot worse - DD probably gets it in the ribs if she doesn't get that hand up)

For those of you that remember...Bad Luck Shleprock ain't got nothin' on me...

Sorry to hear that. I will never understand why ASA doesn't allow the on deck batter to position herself on the other side.

SoCal-diagnosed fracture or possible break? Recovery could be very quick and painless (physically and literally) ..for a simple fracture. Good luck to your DD, does she have games planned through the summer?

X-rayed at Antelope Valley Hospital. Definite fracture. Hoping for a quick recovery and no ligament damage (the impact bent the finger back). Still planning on Nationals in 6 weeks. We'll see.
