What is the role of the teams liaison in recruiting with college coaches?

Depends upon the team. That is my job with our team, and I am very active. I talk to every coach who comes to see us, and I call every coach who expresses a real interest in a player. I feel that my job is to make sure the coaches get to know our kids, so they can make an informed decision on whether to recruit them further. I am also an advocate for them, but I am truthful and honest about their abilities, attitude, grades, etc.

For the players and the parents, I walk them through the recruiting process, and help them to identify schools that are a match athletically and academically, that they have a realistic oppotunity to compete at in both areas.
