With everyones help I would like to start a list defining the absolutes of pitching mechanics. The Absolutes should be what you see ALL top level pitchers do.

Absolutes of Pitching Mechanics

Elbow must lead the arm down the back side of circle
Stride foot should not touch down until after 12 oclock
hips must be open 45-53 degrees at 6 oclock(release) to allow the ball to clear the hips

everyone jump in and add to the list

1. In the pre motion, do not bring the hands up and behind the head, hyper extending the shoulders.

2. Listen to your mom and dad, when they are on the bucket. :)

Actually, bringing the hands up in front to 12:00 is legal. Bringing them up and past 12:00 is considered bringing them to the rear and is NOT legal. Not that I have ever seen it enforced.

As far as listening to parents on the bucket, absolutely. Probably best to NOT listen to them when you are in the batter''s box. :)
