Has anyone heard of or seen performance enhancing drugs (PEDs) in higher level softball. It would seem to me that some coaches and players will look for any edge (whether legal or not, unfortunately) to out hit, out pitch, and out play their competition especially with potential scholarships and regional and national bragging right on the line.

Never heard of it, but wouldn't doubt it. I have heard of illegal bats, so why not drugs.
Whats even scarier is the amount of meth being used by athletes now.

Interesting question.

Did you know that there has never been a single case of doping in softball at the international level?

It's true.

Despite all the doping testing that was done at all major games (Olympics, Pan-Am Games, Asian Games, etc.) and other major events (World Cup, World Championships, Olympic Qualifier) on male AND female softball players, Unlike baseball, there has never been a single case of doping in our sport!

That was one of the arguments the International Softball Federations was using to try to get back in the Olympics since our sport a bad image among the IOC members who don't know anything about our sport (and don't understand the differences between softball and baseball).

That was a collateral damage from all the doping cases in baseball!
