I think that in baseball if the bases are loaded and a walk scores a run, it's counted as an RBI. This always seemed weird to me as it's not a run "batted" in, but I digress. Is it scored as an RBI in the book?

Thanks!

Yes, it is an RBI. It would also be an RBI if they were HBP. All rulebooks should have a chapter regarding scoring. There are some differences in scoring between sanctioning bodies but this is one that is common to all of them i believe.

In addition to a walk, getting hit by pitch and obstruction are also scored as an RBI. In all my years of softball (20+) I have seen the walk and HBP but never the obstruction play.
