DD currently has a CF Zen 33/22 and a Spryte 33/21. She loves the Spryte but it doesn’t have enough mass to generate great velo. The CF is just a little too heavy to control.

Thinking about going back to a 32/21 but want to know more about how the CF, Prism+ and LXT will compare in terms of swingweight?

i can say my dd has a '21 31" -10 LXT bat. It's a bit heavy at 21.7 oz. I cannot vouch directly for -11 bat. I think the prism + is a pretty smooth balanced bat if you aren't trying to go too heavy swingweight.

@andrevdp

There isn’t a world of difference between those bats. The 33” length of a -11 bat does make me wonder.

Age of your dd?

If you measure the width of your DD’s shoulders and multiply that number by 2 you will be pretty close to the right bat length. If she is playing 10u or above, the bat should prob be -10. Too long of a bat I’d a bigger problem than too heavy of a bat. Good luck.

Def with you on the bat choice thing WW. Have seen way too many parents going to heavier drop11s
instead of going to a drop10 at some point.

Now, certain bats I get...some bats their drop11 is drop10s...but not Demar or Mizuno.

Both the LXT and the Prism+ will be heavier than the CF (LXT will be 1oz heavier and the Prism+ about 0.8oz heavier).

How old is your daughter that she is using that length but that big of a drop?

You don’t need mass to generate velocity. You need bat speed.
Your on the right track a lighter quality bat with good bat speed will get you more distance.
My DD loves her Ghost bats. 32” 22’s snd until this years 21 LXT she would hit farther with Ghosts over all other bats.
She recently cleared a 250’ baseball field fence with LXT. One hops the fence with Ghost Adv, 18 Ghost, and 21 Prism Plus.
So my point is she generates more bat speed with drop 11 LXT than she does with heavier Ghost bats.
She is 5’2” 130lbs and just turned 16.
The Prism Plus is a little heavier than normal Dems maybe .5oz over weight.
The bats you have listed are in this order as far as weight goes.
1) LXT Heaviest .5-1oz over weight.
2) Prism Plus- .5 oz over
3) CF- .5oz under to .5 over
If your daughter has good bat speed go with LXT.
If she has average your below average bat speed I would try Prism Plus seeing you already have a CF.

Thanks everybody for the input. My bad for not providing a bit more background to the situation.

My daughter turns 15 in September and is 5’7” (17” across her shoulders) BUT she is not the strongest girl out there.

She is a catcher playing 16B travel and this is really only her 3rd full season playing.

When she started playing she went straight into a 32” bat given her height but because her mechanics were pretty raw she found a light static weight, light swingweight (i.e. balanced 32 drop 12 LXT) bat much easier to control and to hit solidly more often.

Her hitting coach recommended last fall that she move to a 33” bat but she struggled with the extra weight so Instead of going back to the 32” and using a drop 10 or drop 11 we tried the 33” drop 12 Spryte which she loves because it gives her complete control of the bat through the hitting zone especially in the late parts of games when she is tired after catching 5 or 6 innings.

now that she is getting stronger and her mechanics are improving we want to get her into something a little heavier to allow for a bit more power and so want to get her something to start getting comfortable with.
