Not at DD's Game Today & Comms Issue :-)

I normally at all my DD's games - but as I am not coaching this season so I have missed a few this season and today I am not getting out to the field at all.

Which is fine except that my DW is the world's worst updater. She'll send a text that will say "Up 1, 2 out, 2 on, 3-2, DD pitching" and then not text again for 45 minutes. Or she'll give play by play for 1/2 an inning and then nothing for 25 minutes because she was talking to someone.

Or she'll send a text that says "That was nice"... and then not reply to the "What was nice?" return text.

Oh and she wont answer her phone either.

Going to be a long day.

Lol... I can totally relate!
My DW will call a blooper over the infield a "BOMB" all the way out there", Then I'll say all the way to where? ... no response, so I'm never really sure how well she actually did until dd gets home and paints me a more accurate picture.

Get her an iPhone with an unlimited data plan, load Skype, and have her put her phone down where you can watch.

Gamechanger or iscore. Teach her to score a game and then follow in realtime.

Right......answer !!!! Get old case. Cut it up and add the softer chain link wire so it can hang it on fence... with your Android...

I would tell my DD that OK.... to me means "Outstanding Kinesiology"

Good. Do you know how many people I have to sit by that are doing play by play on their phone? It is annoying.

I guess she could go off and sit by herself, but that would be boring for her.

She is busy being a mom. I wouldn't be on the phone, either.

We all miss games from time to time, but I quit asking my DW years ago for updates, it was more frustrating than helpful.

DW-she got a hit
Me-single, double?
DW-out at first

DW-she hit to the parking lot
Me-sweet, how many runs scored?
DW-none
Me-huh?
DW-foul ball

DW-she hit a triple
Me-that's great ( I'm thinking a shot off the RF fence )
Find out later it was a slow roller to 3b who over threw 1st.

And my favorite of all time: we are home team, it's top of last inning, we up 3-5
DW-hit runner on first
Me-she "got" a hit, or she was hit by another batter?
DW-I'm not sure, think she hit

DW-threw her out at 2nd
Me-nice play

DW-struck her out, 2outs
Me-sweet

DW-pop to outfield, caught
Me-nice game

Me-what?

Me-well in my book that's 3 outs

Come to find out one out was a DK3, safe.

Our Team hits Bombs; the other Team hit lucky bloopers.

DW and DD are useless finding out what happening in a game. I am not much better.

I go through my spiel about the game ..

Them: How much did we win by?
Me: We lost by 15 runs.
