Interesting article that lays out many of the changes that the NCAA is considering over the next year:

Of particular interest to softball, they are looking at lifting the cap on the number of scholarships available per team (currently 12 for D1 softball, I believe). Also, simplification of the recruiting calendar and specific time periods for the transfer portal.
Stuff like lifting the cap on the number of coaches per team will probably only help the big programs, but mostly positive changes for student athletes, it seems.
