Perhaps you have heard this story.
MLB considers start up plan in May in Arizona.
Involves testing and social distancing guidelines.
Wonder if colleges would be able to, or consider for that matter, similar guidelines to get athletes on the field next school year?
Thoughts?

If you're not P5 you likely don't have tv rights that will pay to do such things. Heard a talk radio show discussing this yesterday. They were saying a good portion of D1 football programs rely on the revenue from ticket sales just to keep their sports programs afloat.

While i am sure that P5 will push this plan i'm not sure that is will be sustainable across all of D1. Still think it is too early to start speculating on what fall seasons will look like.

Funding for tests is whats needed. Will this come from healthcare stimulus budget.
Fall season cancelled will only cause another group of D1 atheltes to be given extended eligibility. Budget befor better than after. Just speculating. Pending MLB rolls out a plan.

Pro athletes basically in a biosphere?
Not going to happen.

Situation with testing, treatment and a vaccine is going to have to greatly improve for colleges to let students back on campus.
