So I am a coach on my daughter's 14U team, and I'm also handling most of the recruiting chores (talking to coaches at showcases and camps, handing out brochures, etc). The team had a successful season this fall and got some interest from a number of coaches, mostly mid-level D1. All the players have been writing their letters and generally doing what they should be doing.
The question is, I know that as a coach/recruiting person I'm allowed to contact college coaches. But what about when it's my own daughter being recruited? I've been approached by a couple of coaches at tournaments and camps now, expressing serious interest and asking for her to visit their campus. They ask for a coach to call them and set up a visit. Can I call? Or do I need to ask another coach to do it?
