I accidentally “thanked” this post- not my intention. I am very sorry that your dd had a coach that ruined the their love of the game. It is heartbreaking to see and experience. However, I strongly disagree with your comments of how the coach would be canned if they were a male. In the world of sports there are PLENTY of male coaches who keep their jobs year after year while causing mental and emotional trauma to their players.

That’s a fair statement and looking back at it from a different point of view I have to agree. They probably aren’t keeping her because she is female, it’s probably because coaches of women’s sports in most high schools are hired for the convenience of the athletic director not for ability. After all, we don’t want to take any time away from looking for more football coaches or distract us from getting our precious end zone cameras bought.
Two weeks ago I gave a presentation to a school board about Title IX and why it is necessary. Hopefully that helps forgive my lapse.
