Baseball question:
I was watching a baseball compilation and there was a play where the batter hits a line drive at SS but the bat breaks and also flies at the SS. The SS catches the line drive but the flying bat hits him in the leg and causes him to fall over. So question - if it was a grounder and he had fielded the ball but the bat knocked him over so he couldn't throw to first - how does that get scored?
Is it just an unfortunate play and the runner gets on?
It's one thing if it's just - someone gets on but what if they just needed a hit and the guy getting on wins the game for the team?
