Got home from a long day of work and it started to rain.
My 12 year old daughter said "lets go to the field, I want to hit and pitch".
I thought, okay we'll get there and once she sees how much rain is falling she'll beg me to leave.
An hour and half later we left the field muddy and soaked head to toe; both tired... her from hitting and pitching and me from getting rained on.
This kid has come so far in the last two years. In the past she would have never practiced in the pouring rain with me. Tonight I had to pull her off the field.
One day when I'm old and gray I'll remember this night.
