Why the snow blower?
Someone really wasn't trying to get the field playable, were they. . . ?!
Playable? Not quite yet... only trying to get the girls on the field quicker...
The snow isn't from a recent snow storm, it's the remnants from winter.
For the last several years, I've been going over to the fields when the weather gets to a nice warming trend (50's) and I blow the remaining snow off of the field.
I do it to prevent that slushy snow from melting onto the fields and causing the girls to have to wait another week or so to play on them because the fields are soggy and sloppy.
That grass and ground you see cleaned off in the picture, is as hard as concrete since the ground is froze down a couple of feet. Now the ground has thawed, and if the rain would stay away, we could be on the field by the end of the week.
But there's a chance for a couple of inches of snow tonight.
