My daughter went to coach pitch in rec at age 5, I actually joined this sub to see if I should let her join kids pitch at age 6 lol.
We found a great 10u that she's played for at ages 8 and 9. When it was time for those girls to go to 12u my daughter decided to stay at 10u for another season...
My dd is still in 10u so I haven't gotten to watch fully developed girls play up close often, BUT this spring we faced a pitcher whose dad had a radar on the fence reading 55mph now this was easily the fastest pitcher I've ever seen in the two years of 10u we've played. Our coach have her...
Thanks you always give good tips. So I found myself recently wanting to say "get your hips through" but also "stay back" lol didn't go over too well.
This is a little more clear and we'll work on this and creating this stretch feeling.
But as you coil the core the shoulders really shouldn't...
I find myself wanting to say "get your hip through" all the time but I haven't been able to explain it or find a drill that would make it make sense to her yet
You guys always give good pointers. What do you see? I want her to keep her front foot from opening up before she lands so we're gonna be working on that.
Right now she's hitting inside pitches pretty well but outside pitches are baffling her right now
This should not have been an ejection, normally the ump hands the ball to the catcher. Al ok game this ump was throwing them ball back to the pitcher even when realmuto was asking for the ball. This time he expected him to throw the ball back and and put his glove down. He's obviously not...
My daughter is in 10u a lot of the changeups are DRASTIC and just float over the plate.
The girls finally faced a pitcher that would throw 2 or 3 in a row. the girls were completely off balance and guessing. So far it has been once you get fooled by the change the next pitch is ALWAYS a...
So didn't really do any work in the winter... 9yo going into second year of 10u play. I'm looking for drills that could help her stay back and finish high.
This first clip was against one of the better pitchers she's ever faced, drew a walk on 9 pitches, timing seems good but not making hard contact
This spring my daughter moved up to 10u and has adjusted pretty well considering we kinda had to change the way she swings the bat.
Since she is still 8 she is still 8u coach pitch eligible and an old coach asked to barrow her for a tournament.
She didn't care the fence was 170 all the way...
We got the hands involved! She's still working on it of course but she hit some absolute shots this weekend!
Now to figure out how to keep those elbows from collapsing together 😅
