Truth is a bunch of washed up hitters( and I certainly include myself in this) posting swings isn’t going prove much of anything, regardless of what “theory” they ascribe to.

It may or may not prove anything but what it will do is clear up some misunderstanding of terms and view points that get lost in translation through this forum instead of posting a pro hitter or the like and saying we know for sure it's what we are saying they are doing to try and prove a point. Imo

Props to @clemenslee1, @julray, and @james27503 for posting your swings, way to go.

Much appreciated, and I think we all find, that the only way to we can all really learn this stuff, is to see yourself or someone we've coached put your words into action.

Not posting professional players we've never spent any time with, and saying, "That's what I teach". Because I think we'll all find that that old adage rings true that..."It's easier said than done". Good job guys.

There is some confusion of terms for sure. But some of that is intentional. What would clear up the understanding is honest conversation without the drama.

Sure it would, we may be washed up, but we can certainly see. The best in the world say down to, but a bunch of washed old hitters think they know better because they look at their game swings. So it would be nice to see an example of a hitter in FYB with good posture with a down to approach, somebody who doubts that kind of approach. Doesn’t have to be a perfect swing, but it would make for good conversation and possibly be insightful

That would be the mature approach, but after several threads with hundreds of posts … this is not productive. Since we have some visual learners on here who only look at game swings and say the pros are wrong in their demos, it would be very helpful to see one of those doubters pick up a bat with good sequence and posture with the down to approach. We have instructors on here, they have the equipment, can’t be that hard can it

Thanks MB... what we haven't seen yet is somebody who does not agree with the "down to" approach post a vid of their self or somebody they coached showing good fyb, posture and applying down to. That's the missing piece of this discussion

I agree. Im posting not because of a agenda and or to force views on anyone else, I'm simply a dad trying to help my DD and maybe some of her teamates. It's just what I feel is right at the moment. That may or may not provide some help to others. Like my clip, you can agree or disagree, take something away from it or not.

I appreciate your goals and how you handle yourself. If more people posted with your level of professionalism this could be an enjoyable place to discuss things. Unfortunately there are some that are more interested in being insulting and condescending. Best of luck in your journey. The years go by way too fast.
