We used to use the balls the indoor facility had but this past winter I have been bringing our own balls which we keep in the house.
There could very well be something to this. I know for sure 2 bats broke at this facility. If the ghost has a thinner wall ( I don't know if it does) than say an LXT, these balls could be some of the problem. The other 2 bats could be a fluke. Who knows.

Maybe they are using frozen bowling balls painted yellow.

I know Iowa and Illinois State do, so they either do a better job of keeping the bats warm or my theory is crap. I suspect the latter.
Trust me, cold balls are the culprit, changes the compression of the ball and makes it harder, it's not "just" a cold bat!

Core has talked about this before, a warm bat and a cold ball produces vapor trail rockets! Perfect recipe to lose balls!

Is it possible people are sending them back with the paint cracks thinking the actual composite is cracked? How many warranty claims are actually true cracks in the composite structure compared to paint seaming?

I think more than would like to admit lol. Both times I had DD's Advanced replaced it was literally coming apart. Often times I think folks are sending them back too soon. They see the spiderwebs and think its cracked but in reality that bad boy is just heating up!

I agree. My dd’s 10k swung GA has spider webbing galore but is at its hottest right now. So my next question is Easton sending them new bats in return because of the spider webbing or sending back their old bat?

DD swung a Worth 2 Legit for 3 years. I was early to the 6 months then break bat thing. I swear that bat was the hottest bat before the ghost. Same concept, double wall thin outer wall to allow the walls to meet during impact. These double wall bats endure a significant collision every time a ball is hit, add a little cold or some dimpled machine balls and you're risking a 3 month life of the bat.

Very hot. Still have one that I'm gonna put on Ebay. DD moved to the ghost and only used it once in a while. During soft toss she'd hit em father with the orange bat but since it wasn't a newer bat refused to put it in her bag. Damn pitchers :)

With the double barrel bats...the outer wall is so paper thin and the inner barrel
stops it from hitting a ball 3 miles and also stops it from flexing so much in caves in on itself...hahaha. There is space between
a double barrel bat...that's the flex area. So the Ghost outer comp is super thin...when the ball hits, that comp flexes
into the inner barrel which slows the flex down.
The inner part isn't a "wall"...its a completely separate piece. LS has Discs and Mizuno also has a chamber of sort. Easton has
a complete whole barrel inside and so does the Mantra.
