He is interesting but boring.(joke intended) I think he should take a young student with him when he does his seminars and have them demonstrate what he is preaching.
Things I liked:
Rotational load-coil (scap). Very similar to what Justin Stone advocates
Forearm and bat maintain 90 degree angle
Oar lock comparison to the hands(never had thought about it that way, tried with DD and immediately increased bat speed)
Not sure about the swing of the bat causing weight shift (helps or completes WS would fit better IMO)
Things I still don't understand or agree with:
The spine is not the axis the back hip is????
The 2nd engine is way over emphasized and is not absolute for great hitting. A little dip in the barrel for timing might work for 10 year old DD but a blur is never going to happen. I don't think her hands would be strong enough to do it correctly. Many MLB players do not use it and have great success.
The ferris wheel (bat tilt) is exaggerated. I understand and appreciate exaggerate to learn, but.....
I have my DD stop her swing in a landed position and make sure her bat is touching her upper back arm and swing from there.
