Do you have any drills, tips or technics to specifically work on managing the transfer of the ball from the glove to the hand?
Are you referring to infield, outfield, or catching? Cuz they all have different looks to them.Do you have any drills, tips or technics to specifically work on managing the transfer of the ball from the glove to the hand?
Agree. We work a lot on getting the right foot set (or down) as the ball hits the glove. Young kids often wait to catch it first and then move their feet to throw.I think the most difficult thing for kids is footwork, which is the priority, particularly to position your body to have rhythm through fielding, a deflection, or catch and throw, syncing it all together correctly. Otherwise they will be clunky and slow, and depending on age, the Vizquel/Lindor, etc. transfer vision might not yet be possible/practical.
