Has your DD played when it was snowing?

I never understood why anyone would let their DD play in the snow. I know for us in the northeast it gets cold early and people want to get more games in but I just can't see risking a cold-weather injury with the potential to wreck a season (or career) like a muscle pull, ligament tear, slip on icy rain/snow, or even a broken $400.00 bat to be worth one last fall ball game. JMHO, YMMV.

I think it is the balls that become the Issue, not the bat. Easy to keep a bat warm cheaply and easily, balls not so much. It is like hitting a rock

Snow is not too bad, kind of comes down to the wind.

Freezing rain is a different story. 1.game DD played the 1st base coaches were catching runners at 1st before they fell, base was a sheet of ice. Too long IMO they called the in 2nd inning. To your point it never should have started, luckily no one got hurt.
