Scoring question 7-6-5

Not sure if this is the right section for this.

Situation.

Hard line drive past left fielder to the fence. Left fielder throws to cutoff to 3b catching runner trying to stretch a double into a triple.

Does that get scored as a double with an out?

Or is that a no hit and just a 7-6-5 out?

I think its the first. But our coach thinks its the second and shouldn't be a hit.

What is correct?
