I also wonder if they play-up in age? The local “phenoms” I do know of here typically do play up, even on the National level teams if they are cruising at 60+ that young.

I‘d love to know which team they play for - as that is my area. I’m still “in the know” about a lot of the local talent. Then again maybe not so much with “ younger than HS age“ players.
The top organizations in that area are Intensity, PA Chaos, and Newtown Rock. I still have a hard time believing they have three girls over 60 at 12U between all three organizations, let alone one team.

The 08 Bandits team that won the PGF 12u Premier championship in 2021 may have had 3 kids who legit cruised at 60 or above so I guess it is possible. Other than that though I haven’t teams at that age have more than 1…

Yeah - and that’s what we mean. You usually will see those kids grouped together on a team outside of the NE. It’s highly uncommon to see it here, even on the legit National level 12U teams.

Not saying it can’t happen of course - and if DropCity’s team has that level of talent all on the same team at 12U I’d love to see them play. Must be a fun team to watch.

I don't see many 12u games. Would you say 60 in 12u is top 10% or top 1%. Comparing to 10u what I see a lot of I would say 50 would be top 10%.

Again, we're in the NE, so not exactly the mecca of fastpitch, but last year at 12u we didn't see anyone throwing 60. Maybe the girl I mentioned that moved to the national team may have been upper 50's, a handful of others mid 50's. The 12u girl that I saw earlier in the Spring is the hardest thrower I've seen at a tournament (again, no PGF in our area).
