That would be fun to see on YouTube. Or TikTok, or MySpace or AOL.
Yep, we've got one in our conference like that (and in many ways seemed to stem from the Admin/Coach/etc.) and when some of the students/athletes from that school show they definitely get carried away with the obnoxious, rude comments and behavior. The vast majority of schools we've played at least try to be good hosts and exhibit good sportsmanship.During DD's time in college, there were certain places where we knew that the crowd would be over the top. There were also some places that we knew where the fans and administration would go out of their way to be good hosts.
IME it was usually the college boys that were rambunctious. Usually it was good fun and semi decent good taste. Last year there was a guy in the stands that would blow an air horn when our pitcher released the ball. After about 4 blows the umpire finally said something after our parents told him to stop. The worst part, the opposing team fans did not say a word. If someone on my side was doing that, I would have thrown that horn over a tall fence.
What team are you watching? I have been helping with the Fredonia State team here at home.I didn't see any of that in the last two days. What I did see was a lot of poor decision making, hitting, and base running mistakes from my daughter's coaches. And the batters boxes at Fortune Road were horrible.
Must be more to that story? I can't see condemning a program because of a bad acting fan?I was at a Texas vs Washington game, I think the season before last, where a visiting Texas fan was ejected from the stadium. I’ve taken a dim view of that program since then, which is too bad because I actually called coach White once and he was very helpful; I wanted to be a Texas fan, but no more.
