My DD learned it in about an hour no joke. Versus changeup that is still a struggle despite about 10k reps.....lol. Drop and Rise are both still hit or miss years into it.
I think every pitcher is different and some get every movement pitch easily and others have hard time even getting one. Most seem to naturally get one or two movement pitches much easier.
One thing she did start with a 4-seam grip which I think is easier to learn. Now she throws more 2-seam. Biggest difference is the shape as 4-seam is little more rounded break and easier to control where the 2-seam bites much harder and can be tricky.
