Tired of individuals talking so much about the shoulders and arms. Hands, with a good path to the baseball/softball, allows for late adjustability to pitch location/plane. Once shoulders open up, the swing path is set and no adjustments can be made. That is why having a short swing path, keeping the hands close to the body is so important. Once the hands get away from the body (casting) the swing becomes driven by the shoulders, and adjustability flys out the window. Swing a bat, and feel the difference between the two.
