Just wanted to get some opinions on how to play a slow roller hit to 3B (or even a great bunt). For instance, MLB seems to gravitate to the one-handed pickup on the right side and off-foot throw it on the run, but I'm thinking that would be a very low percentage play.

Any experience on what works best/doesn't work and the teaching points used?

beyond the fences
a 6'2" adult man can pick up a 8" ball with relative
ease when compared to a teen/pre-teen girl picking up
a 12" softball with her tiny little hands. I suggest using
the glove with cover hand unless it is barely rolling/stopped. In this case,
bare-hand,turn the ball 1/4 turn (like screwing into ground)
to secure grip before making a play

Thanks for the reply. Could you go into more specifics on how to do it? I'm going for something quick, trying to give them something other than the break down, stop, field, throw.
