The Worth Eclipse 1st year 16U select softball team will be holding tryouts on Thursday August 9th at Meramec College Softball fields at 5:00 pm. Meramec College is located at 1133 Big Bend Rd. St. Louis Mo. 63122. There is a chance of Rain on Thursday so our back up plan is to either check the Kirkwood wedsite for updates or to call Head Coach Kelley Bridgmon at 314-603-0484. If you are going to be late we understand just let Kelly know when you contact her. We have the fields until dark which is around 8:30 PM.
We are coming out of our inaugural year as an organization, but we have hit the ground running. We have a fantastic group of ladies that are ready to compete at a high level. We have a great core group of girls returning and are looking to add a few more talented, hardworking girls who want to learn and play at a high level. We will be playing a 65-75 game schedule, which includes league play and approximately 10-12 tournaments including nationals. Our coaching staff is led by Kelley Bridgmon, who is currently a player at Webster University which allows the girls to get insight from someone currently playing the game at a high level. Her staff is rounded out with coach Eric Leary and Ken Williams who have over 50 years of combined softball experience at the girl's select and collegiate levels. Our Coaching staff does not have any daughters on the team and are committed to providing an environment that focuses on building and maintaining a strong knowledge of the fundamentals and strategies of the game. This kind of commitment translates to an excellent learning experience for the ladies. Like the other teams in our organization, we have an open door policy, which means that we welcome anyone who has an interest of playing at the select level with a first class organization to come and workout with us.
