One of my first cousins ( I have a lot my father had a 11 kids in the family) played college softball around that time. Not sure what that entailed back then on the East Coast, probably like club softball now? I think she played "professional" for a bit too whatever that meant back then. She is also in the DC area slow pitch HOF. I never saw her play though as she was in the Maryland area and I grew up in MA.
That Amazon bottom center has to be 8’ tall, look at her legs! Me and my wife both graduated HS in 1983, my wife was the MVP pitcher that year, yeah I’m bragging!
Fun thing is I’d be considered “cool” now with my white cleats. Back then white was falling out of favor to black cleats and my mom bought me the cheapest pair we could find.
Look at this gem.... No batting helmets. One teams catcher has no shin guards, A player with the name "Snookie Mulder" ( 9:00 mark).... And they are actually great players. The good ol' days!
