This is absolutely awful, she had such a bright future ahead of her.

This is absolutely horrible. I had read this on some other softball sites. I truly hope that it wasn't the pressure that can come with that type of success and drive, that caused this. Our prayers are with her family.

Out my way we just had two girls kill themselves by jumping in front of a high speed Acela train. They were part of a suicide pact that other kids knew about. Parents please talk to your children, and more importantly listen!

May they all rest in peace.

A sobering reminder that money, fame, or even a chance to play softball at the top level in college is not what life is really about, and alone will not bring happiness. Very sad. Hug your kids every day.
