Just purchased new E-Masks for our travel softball team program. I understand that the pre-drilled holes don't always match up to every brand of helmet, and we expect to have to drill holes. What we are wondering about is what the proper distance from the RIM of the Helmet Visor to the top of the Emask should be? Since this is 12U and we are using a 12" ball I could use a 12" ball set up against the gap to judge a viewing gap distance, but that's not very scientific. I thought about measuring existing helmet masks to rim distances as well, but they all seem overly exaggerated in how close they are. I cannot find any official ASA or NOCSE raiting information on proper distance, and no manufactures of masks state their distance either.
anyone have any good ideas? and forget about contacting the manufacturer... they don't return calls or emails.... good product, but lousy Q&A.
