Your DD is 10 keep teaching her the game if she loves the game that's even better its a good possibility that some of those 10 yr old studs may not even be playing in a year. 10u is snacks Popsicles and learning.
Good morning sir. I have a question for you? I know you have the answer because we talked about old easton fastpitch bats previously when I bought the white and purple stealth. Well I found another gem for my DD it's a easton stealth stealth speed ssr4b black and purple used for one season...
Hopefully things work out. Will it be a bumpy ride and make you wanna pull your hair out absolutely. People and parents with kids on your team that haven't been around the game don't understand how hard it is to coach. You 13 different personalities, attitudes, knowing which kids can take being...
My DD has a a2000 Sierra Romero model 12in. She plays middle infield no issues with it in the 3 years shes had it well worth the money. They are stiff just have to work em with the glove hammer and lots of catch. Invest in one of these when she is done using the glove wrap this around it works...
So 14U is a tough age especially if it's first year. If it's year two things should be rolling along on what's expected during practices. In a perfect world hopefully one or two of your better returning players can lead by example and set the tone of what's expected. They are gonna be moving up...
So, my DD also has aspirations to play at the college level. She attend every highschool open gym/ workouts since the 7th grade leading up to first year of school ball as a freshman. The middle school didn't have a team.So travel filled up that space anyways. So last spring was her freshman...
So today I picked up this fine piece of equipment 32/22 with maybe 100 hits on it I was told. It doesn't look like many balls have hit it. Has some clete marks on it that's it. I did my fair share of looking and investigating paid 220 and change with tax. Now what I don't understand is why it's...
My DD just did the great lakes tryout last weekend in Lafayette. It's a good experience to see where you stand against other good talent from other states. There were 15 girls in the 14u division and i thought it was a strong field talent wise. Now it's just the waiting to see if she made it.
I don't beleive it's "old softball". Its a weapon!! If 3rd and catcher aren't on their games bunts will eat you up. I say that because this past weekend in our state tournament that was the case. They small balled us and utilized the clock perfectly we lost 8-7.
I tell all my girls you get 2 strikes on you be aggressive swing hard. Id rather see them strike out being aggressive or hit a hard shot than to watch one come in belt high over the plate and go down looking.
I guess the best way from my perspective as a coach is to evaluate the talent pool on your team. If it's a brand new team it's open competition all spots are up for grabs. Spots are earned talent and athletes rise to the top then role players fill out the rest of the team. Then the rest of...
