Getting a rec team to hit
30 mph is fine for sling shot front toss… just move closer to the batter. Stat I heard was 3mph increase in effective velo for every foot you move in front of the rubber. Invest in a pitching screen and get that sucker 10-15 feet from the plate. Instant 50-60 mph pitch. Accuracy improves too...- coachdpr

Skipping Tryouts This Year
End Goals? College Ball: Sophomore year, mebbe play a different sport during off season during sophomore year keep practicing pitching/hitting. Then do HS Ball and then travel ball during summer. The other side to the "Multi-Sport Athlete"
I have heard it many times from college coaches, “Kids should be multi-sport”. However, I have noticed that those who PLAY D1- those players you see on ESPN come June, pretty much specialized from the age of 14 on.- coachdpr
