If she wants to be a pitcher she needs to be on a team as a pitcher. My dd was taking pitching lessons but was on a team at another primary position, she never really seen the improvements as we felt she should. She changed teams to be able to pitch and she has really improved. In game circle...
With my dd sometimes she will tighten up in a game and throw high . It seems she is trying to guide it instead of trusting her self and just throwing it.
I like the change early and often when its on . But I think it needs to be thrown even if it's not on just to give the batter something to think about.
It kills me to see a pitcher getting hit hard by several batters in a row continue to throw just fastballs .
Coach James
This is what I'm looking for .Im familiar with most of the terms you use except the walk ins ,2 steps and jump starts .
Thank you to everyone for the info shared

Dd is 15 , has very limited pitching experience. She takes a long time to get warmed up to where she's accurate. Just curious if she could be more efficient with her warm ups or if it is just what it is and it should get better with more experience. What are your dds warm up routines ...
Gge11v
I have only two concerns
She likes the Velcro on her other glove . Her old hitting / fielding coach use to give her a hard time about it not being a bull rope that you need to cinch down .
The finger stalls feel big .
But it's a nice piece of leather .
Definitely.. it's definitely a much stiffer glove . I think it will take some work to break in . Dd has an old 12" mizuno (It was her first glove ) and it is about the same size as the GGE11V . It feels like some pretty sweet leather ..
