    Without knowing the context of the situation it's difficult to know if the instructions are appropriate or not. Even though this is a hitting video it speaks to 'feel vs real' when it comes to instruction, feel, and actual mechanics.

    My concern would pulling the hip through as the ball is released. This is part of HE mechanics because it's difficult for the arm/elbow to be using IR when the hip is in the way.

    The question that needs to be asked along with exit velocity is can/will the player swing the -10 faster than the -9? If that is the case then the exit velocity may be equal, but the difference would be that the -9 would have a larger sweet spot.
