You can't technically sign an NLI until senior year...so no 2020's were officially signed until this fall. It would all be verbals prior to 11/13/19 which was the first time a 2020 could sign an NLI for softball.
Hi there!
I've been on the boards before some years ago...but see this new intro thread. My daughter is a 2020 and will play at Towson next year. She's been playing travel ball since she was 10, and it's been a really great 8 years. Looking forward to discussing with everyone! I'll prob spend...
My DD had a different experience, although I did see some teams with the issues spleen spoke to. My daughter played on a very strong team and made lifelong friendships. We aren't doing it again, as she's moved on to showcase focus, but it was still a good experience and a place at the tryouts...
I do echo that it was a one and done experience for us in Florida as well, but she really made lifelong softball friends- the team continues to have a group chat and communicate daily.
My daughter did USAES last year and for the tryout it is a good place to have your daughter's stats officially evaluated if you haven't already. It also is an opportunity to see how she stacks up against competition in her age group outside of showcase camps. My daughter ended up on the Elite...
We got back from the USSSA All-American games last weekend, then had some tryouts this week. Going to chill out tomorrow and put in some softball time Sunday and a few days next week. Hope everyone has a great weekend!
I really like this idea as well....that's a big reason I joined the site. I have however found a lot of great information in the Playing College Softball forum...
Thanks for the info- I definitely don't think that she's the speediest out there, but just wanted to boast that she did the best out of 68 at the tryout. Thanks for the perspective :)
Hi Everyone
I'm new here, but just wanted to brag that my DD ran the fastest 20 at her USSSA elite regional tryout. Ran a 3.3 at 13 years old. Not sure how good that is, but just feels good to know her work on her speed showed at a tryout with 68 girls :). Looking forward to getting to know...
New here....but my DD may be able to start JV for the independent school here in Washington DC that she's attending next year- it's a K-12, and won't have any effects on her HS eligibility.
ETA: She will be in 8th grade
