Thanks SB... and that makes sence if you're dealing with an "elite" group that is batting daily and has access to hitting coaches... these girls do not.- Mr.Ed

This is exactly what is killing me. There are no stations with this guy. All girls move as a group. Subsequently they're able to do just a few drills and the majority of the time the girls are standing around watching another girl. My girl is coming off a coach (she had to move up) that...- Mr.Ed

My daughter (14U) and I are getting a little frustrated with her new coach/team. Girls are spending really a small amount of their practice time with a bat in their hand. No joke... hour and 45 minute practice last night and my kid had a bat in her hand (including being on deck) for probably...- Mr.Ed

This all true and down right stupid if you ask me. My daughter finished her first year playing competitive/tournament ball and now just went through tryouts and is on a new fall team. When does/did your DD wear a Defensive Face Mask?
My girl just started a new 14U team. Not a kid on her new team has put on a D mask in practice or game play (two so far) and have yet to see any other 14U players wearing one. Her old 12U team everyone in the infield of her team wore them and you saw them on the opposing teams as well. Seams...- Mr.Ed

Tryout - Didn't make it?
My daughter did three tryouts for fall 14U. First team was one of the top teams in our area. I didn’t expect her to make it and she didn't. Thanks Cyclone! That whole 8/1 season start was what was throwing me off. She has a tryout tonight for a new team moving up to 14U. Keeping my finger crossed it's a good fit. This changing teams thing and tryouts is a pain in the neck.- Mr.Ed

July 31st B-day & ASSSA
Can someone explain the particulars of the USSSA cut off dates. My DD B-day apparently is on the actual cut of day of 7/31 (assuming I understand things correctly). On a 7/31/98 date does she move up to 14U or can she stay put at 12U another year. She was on the old side as a 12U and now finds...- Mr.Ed

Maybe no more Tournaments us
My girl is in her first year of tournament play (12U)... she's done about 5 of them now. Big adjustment for her and us (parents)... it's a totally different "ball game". Stick with it... it gets better. My girl has gone home after several of our tournaments very upset because of her play...- Mr.Ed
