    Tips to strengthen arms for hitting and throwing?

    Along with strength training can anyone suggest could stretching/warmup routine for catchers? My daughter every year has issues at the beginnning of the season with soreness at the shoulder and elbow. denise

    Improving throwing velocity

    I haven't been able to time but it is not going to get out to many HS runners. I f I had to estimate I would guess time wise from release to second would be about 4 sec.

    timing drills?

    Yes She goes in the cage of the machine. I try to do a routine of 10 inside pitches and then 10 outside pitches. My thought bieng is if they see a consistent inside pitch they may be able to read the ball better on the field. Is that thinking incorrect?

    My hgihg school girls are complaining right now that they can't track the ball when they are at the plate. I do alot of soft toss and tee work including small pingpong balls of varying colors which most do well with. Does anyone have more suggestions on exercises I can do to help my girls...

    timing drills?

    Can anyone give me some tips on timing drills for hitting. My daughter is a HS sophmore 180lb 5'6 with good hitting mechanics but consistently meets the ball to far in front of the plate. SHe is fine at soft toss and tee drills but put her in the cage and she gets overly aggressive.

    Baseball vs softball hitting

    Is there a big difference between the way baseball players swing and the way softball players swing? I recently got in a "discussion" with a travel coach who insisted that baseball does softball players a disjustice by teaching softball hitting clinics.

    Catcher's mit for me

    Yes, he believes a firstbase mit is better than a catching glove. We started this coversation because the catcher was having a tough time getting to the pitchers change up. She wasn't timing it and would bounce in front of her and get past her. He feels her glove wasn't grabbing well.
