At EVERY NCAA game there must be an OSA (on site administrator) it is their job to police the fans, just find out who it is and let them know.- bulld1055

How much is too much: Rain and game management
If you have ever worked one of these early season tournaments you know that the site administrator has a lot of input as to whether you continue play. The ultimate decision is up to the plate umpire. Do we know if the SA told them it was just a passing shower?- bulld1055

Coaching middle school fall ball, input please.
Trust me on this as long as they are having fun your lessons will get through to them. I've been around the game for decades as an umpire and the best teams are the ones having fun. They might not always win but having fun at that age fosters a love for the game for years to come.- bulld1055

Tournament weekend, rules questions (and willing to be wrong)
1. You can substitute anytime you like as long as they are legal players. FYI it's last completed at bat not necessarily the last out. ie. forced runner at second base is the last out but the last completed at bat was the batter. What to do when umpire makes his own rules?
GG is legal however by their own website and specifications, they say that the TOWEL leaves a waxy substance on the fingers. Therefore the TOWEL is illegal. Plain old GG is good to go.- bulld1055

Umpire not calling the game by the rules and no protests
Let me start by saying I am the UIC for a large complex. Please remember that as a coach you have a job to do when questioning these types of plays. Odd play in the Tennessee vs Bama game
Absolutely correct. when the ball left the ball park the runners are AWARDED the next bases. The batter is not guaranteed anything but embarrassment in this situation.- bulld1055

Rule Question - First base
The runner must run in foul territory the last 30 feet whether they are right or left handed, With only one base they are allowed the last two steps in fair territory. Like most everything else this is a judgement call if the running lane is not drawn or has been washed out by play.- bulld1055
