When my Dd's teams have done mixed age group scrimmages like you describe the teams have swapped pitchers so (per your example) the 14U pitchers are up against 14u batters and likewise for 12u. That keeps the games closer, but doesn't address the size and strength differential. It was a surprise...
Dr Pipes....did that bat split lengthwise as pictured? I guess my impression was that the barrels were separating from the handles. I didn't think that they were coming apart like that.
Well, he needs to make a decision. Is it better to maintain a relationship with professional athletes viewed through the media or with his children? Also, while you could do both, you can't do it the same way. Want to call a pro player an incompetent loser and endlessly criticise his/her...
It actually starts before tryouts IMO. I especially appreciate the coaches that include "call or email if you have questions" in their tryout notices, and then never respond to your inquiry. So far this tryout season I had one guy that required three emails before he responded and another that...
You could go to a new team...."We never had a coach this good!:p"
From what you have said, your dd was never treated fairly, particularly when she was the only pitcher. Oh yeah, I would wait until the very last minute to tell the current coach.
If the whole team is underperforming, not just a few individuals, I would say that there may be a lack of leadership. No amount of scolding or running will make up for that.
I use iScore and like it pretty well. You will probably find that most use of us that use a scoring app use either iScore or GameChanger. Actually, I have both but once I had gotten over the initial learning curve I just stuck with iScore. Why not try both and see which you prefer?
My daughters have both filled in for teams that were short on regular players. If they got anything less than equal treatment from the team they agreed to help that would have been the last time they agreed to help. They don't have to receive any special treatment (like playing more than a...
The quality of my daughters pitching seems to be tied to her warm up and 20-30 mins sounds about right, assuming no other throwing before warm up for pitching. Want bad results....rush her warm up.:)
I use iScore on an iPad. Daylight visibility is not a serious issue. I am comfortable scoring up to 4 games on a full charge as long as the wifi radio is turned off.
