force is applied while the barrel is above the shoulder. Like the demo swing. that’s why Barry swings the barrel above his shoulder during the demo, and it gets under during the game swing.

Personally I feel like Im one of the people who "discovered" it foolin around off a tee during the pandemic. One of the jameses (i think @james27503 ) discovered it last year too. It might not be the easiest for 10U girls but I dont think Bonds and Trout dont know what theyre doing.

Depends how early... You admitted yourself that the barrel travels around the rear shoulder. Sorry to break it to you, but that is "behind the ball".

As long as it isn't as early as TM wants it (whatever that means..) you are good..Really, that is what this whole thing is about right..? Torque the handle at go vs don't torque it..there was 500 pages of this in the TTB thread

IMO people get wrapped around what the barrel is doing. Thats not what it is imo. It's this move with the hands.

That little move is down to. What he does after that in the video is his interpretation of what he feels. If you feel like you throw your hands down like that, that is the fastest way to get on plane. If Trout turns his shoulders as to hit a ball there, and add in whatever tilt or whatnot. you see his game swing. That's why he practices it.

ok. the barrel doesn’t get behind until later though. But the action is down to, to create the mlb path. It’s that simple. Above the ball and down to.

Okay... And I agree that the body is involved. The bat doesn't move itself, although that would be a heck of a trick... In any event, I'm glad to see we agree. To be honest, I've known for a long time that we agree on a lot of things. Maybe not everything, but there is a lot of common ground.

Please, keep this a secret, but TDS and I actually agree on quite a few things as well. But if he ever found that out, he would probably be upset. I'm sure neither of us want that, so please keep it a secret
