Separation anxiety is real. My girls jump out of the nest next year and I'm already dreading it. They're flying out of town this weekend and I have commitments so I can't go. It's tough
congrats to you and your DD for making it this far. I can understand your disappointment with not being there to get her moved in.
My DD went to college with the intention of
Focusing on her tough academic program. Went to student life night and saw the club softball set up. Told me her heart started beating faster when she saw the batting cage, joined club softball and enjoyed it.
It gave her an instant circle of friends/peers who had something in common. She played 2 years, it didn’t interfere with her studies and it helped her with a place to fit in.
COVID, Race relations, violence, politics combined with an AD who seems concerned that his own collegiate record (in a different sport) may be jeopardized are combining to pose a huge roadblock to a program I follow. Very sad.
