Penn state on the upswing. Coach is fantastic and on year 3.

They are for sure, but softball and baseball are the bas$#@d child of athletics at PSU. They just don't get the same treatment that a lot of the other sports do for whatever reason.

They also do a really poor job of recruiting local talent for whatever reason

Its purely a money and talent issue. The top talent in Big Ten schools back yards are leaving for warming weather, and the money schools in the other P5's are throwing at softball right now in the way they travel, their facilities, and now the NIL $ being tossed around, it will only get worse.
