So this happened to my oldest, though she was about a year younger at the time. She was cruising along, pitching really well one weekend, and suddenly couldn't throw a strike. After the game she complained of a sore arm and mild pain in her shoulder blade area.
We shut her down for a week or...
The popping could be her shoulder blade hitting her ribs. I had to go through therapy on my left shoulder for this years ago, caused by poor posture and exacerbated by an injury. If you feel her back at her shoulder blades, if the feel "winged" (not flat or even with the rest of the back) then...
She did well, but one thing I noticed is that both team's pitchers seemed to start with one foot clearly behind the rubber and/or stepped back. Are the LL pitching rules different?
I ran into this behavior for the first time this summer and I can tell you what my impression of it was in one word: pathetic.
My DD plays on a part-time C team. The girls have to be in our local house league, so I guess you could call it a travelling all-star team. They are a pretty good 12U...
I would also check to see if there are other options in your area. Our local house league has a part-time travel option. Sort of a travelling all-stars team that plays local tournaments. Practices start in April and they play until end of July. It's really our only option as DD also plays...
I don't have any personal experience with these, but I saw that 3n2 Sports is having a 19.99 special on cleats.

At my DD's last lesson I just took one directly to the shin, so I ordered these as soon as we got home: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000J6ESHG

Hey, if it said "Rampage" on the jersey it still counts!
Actually, I didn't know there were two Rampage 10U teams. Falcons is basically an all-star team. They only play 4 tournaments or so a year, so I don't see a ton of other teams.
Ha! Small world. My daughter was the main pitcher for that Falcons team (though #40 in the picture above is pretty good too). We've never made it to that Sycamore tournament, as she always has a dance recital that day.
We got our revenge a couple of weeks later in Algonquin! The best teams we...
We live in a fairly urban suburb of Chicago. We use a mat when we can't make it to a park and need to pitch out front on the sidewalk. It works for her, but I mainly bought the mat because she was destroying her sneakers dragging her toe on the sidewalk.
I'm with you. If she complained about practicing or going to games, the decision would be easy. We'd make it for her!
Has he tried individual sports like tennis or swimming? Sounds like he's into video games, so how about something like fencing? BMX?
Your daughter sounds a lot like my oldest...
That whole team is stacked. There was another girl who scored nearly that many, one in the 20-ish range, and several in the low teens. They went undefeated last spring, and only lost about 4 games all year. But I'm guessing it will go down this year. They moved to 9 v 9, larger field, and they...
