Thanks for your reply coach.
I decided to call National Little League #.The answer he gave me was they came to the final conclusion by way of scientific studies on physical maturity rates/abilities.
No one knows why there's an 8 month difference from boys to girls ages on the little league chart?
I'm only guessing safety reasons, but that's just assumption
I have downloaded the rule book, but cannot find the "policy of local league".. which obviously is not open to public... it seems I'd have to approach the board members... One of which is causing/has caused havoc to suit his DD and his coach positioning.
This is why I want full certainty...
Thanks Starman...
You saying the :
"For instance, if the local league has all 11-12 year olds in the Majors, and all 9-10s in another division"
Is actually coming from the agreement made by local league ...
"A local league may choose to limit its Major Division to 10-, 11- and 12-year-olds...
It appears rather straigtforward in explaination.
Tell me if im interpreting this wrong.
So...
If enough girls (ages 11-12) satisfy major team numbers, I feel it's saying that 9-10 year olds default back to minor team
Raddcatcher... Lol
That very coach/board member I'm talking about was one game shy of meeting the games criteria of allstars, as well as not coaching enough games for himself to be there...yet, they fudged the papers

We certainly see the "conflict of interest" in the role he carries out.
Our daughter played this recent fall ball season mentioned as a 6th grader 11yo...
Is it common for a LL board member (with full oversight of the girls softball signups) to dictate who goes to minors regardless of age differences? He told several 6th grader parents (at fall signups) that their daughters would stay down in minors. Regardless of them being second or third...
