Hot bats have a chance of cracking. I'd rather see videos and stories of imperfect hits getting smoked off those hot bats!
Coming from an underperforming LXT, DD knew the Advanced was hot right way. 1st at-bat, she mistakenly tried to pull an outside pitch but still smoked it between 3rd and...
Any input on what players are using for BP bats with similar swing weighting as the Ghost Advanced?
DD has a 33/-10 Advanced with a -9 in reserve. She's using her old (now) dead 33/-9 LXT for BP but not sure how long the connection is gonna last.
P.S. Hopefully this hasn't been discussed...
Got my (then) 18 YO DD a 33/23 RXT last year. She loves LXTs but thought the RXT was dead and too light. Her coach agreed when using it for fungo. It now decorates the old bat bucket in the garage.
This was the called ball 3 in the last at-bat before the ump walked in the winning run for AL. This was the moment I knew the game was fixed. Before this at-bat, the umpire allowed a phantom hit-by-pitch to get on base. After this call, Sara G slowly walked towards homeplate, within a few feet...
I wrote this on another thread. College-aged DD loved her 33-23 at first. She liked the feel, sound and thought it had really good pop off the bat early on. Two months later, the sound changed to a dull thud and it felt dead. Her coach tried it in BP and declared it dead too. Not sure what...
Garcia probably had that tank Mako broken in and singing after thousands of swings. She hit the same number of HRs in 2018 with the Mako as 2019 with the Ghost. Unreal.
I might take back my bold prediction from above. DD says her RXT went dead on her already, only a few weeks after starting to use it. The sound changed from a pop to a dull thud, and the ball doesn't fly off it like it did. The coach tried it out in BP and declared it dead too. Sure wish I had a...
The RXT is a totally different bat from the PXT. The PXT, from what I understand, used relatively old-school technology with a thicker single wall composite. Plus it's end-loaded so it really needed a strong power swing to maximize its potential. The RXT uses a thin outer wall with a a single...
I know your quip about the $449 is tongue-in-cheek, but the pricing issue is still valid. It seems to me Easton pushed the original Ghost's performance as far as it could - to the point of it being almost too fragile. It has great pop, a wide sweet spot, mid-pack stiffness on the joint, and...
I don't understand the $449.95 price point for the Advanced. Seems to me that it's going to be in direct competition with other more balanced "barrel tech" type bats like the RXT/LXT, Prism, Power Carbon, Quatro Pro, etc. that are all well below $400. I get the feeling sales might languish...
My (humble) prediction is that the RXT becomes one of the "hot" bats of 2020. College-aged DD just took hers to BP for the first time and came away impressed. It's best strength might be good pop along most of the barrel including inside just before it starts tapering towards the connection...
