    Curveball grips

Yes, but we’re flexible with what feels right or works better for a given pitcher.

    Curveball grips

This is the grip I teach. I like 4 seam spin which creates a blur. With 2 seam rotation the seams can be seen as horizontal. Like Arm Whip said, purposefully getting either can be tough. Ultimately, spin rate and axis are the most important factors.

    Pitching Programs

I second Pauly's program. It is very thorough and I really appreciate how he is always studying and adapting to stay ahead of the curve.

@Hillhouse sells (used to sell?) a flap called the Perfect Circle that can be a good tool. Jason Snyder's Pitch Squeak has become very popular and is very adjustable for different parts of the arm: https://www.facebook.com/p/PitchSqueak-100085035953780/

/\ Those look like the arm is trapped or making hard contact. As seen in the slow motion video I posted above, it’s really very smooth and fluid. . . .

    Improving consistency

It's really tough to answer without being there. The key is to keep the lower arm relaxed and allow it to be loose and whippy. As long as there is some natural flexion at the elbow, the lower arm will wrap/roll/brush/swipe around the upper thigh. Keep it loose and let it happen. As cnardone...

    Improving consistency

It’s important that the inside of the upper forearm begins the brush contact behind the hipbone and the forearm wraps/rolls below the hipbone around the thigh. Start with no ball and progress to a ball.

    Screwball Proof, or Not!

I have a student who came in following some time off who was all of a sudden throwing a nasty scrop. Previously her drop had 12/6 spin but this weekend it was 1-7 and cut nicely inside. Interestingly, she uses a two finger grip. If she/we could identity how she's doing it and learn to throw...
